The native people of Kazakhstan are Kazakhs, and they make up around 63% of the population. Other ethnicities found in Kazakhstan are Russians, who make up around 24% of the population, Uzbeks, Ukrainians, Uyghurs, Tatars, and Germans.
Kazakhstan is a bilingual country, with the language Kazakh being spoken by around 64% of the population. Kazakh is the "state" language. However, Russian is spoken by almost all residents, because it is used routinely in business and is also the "official" language.
