Organization Spotlight: Janelia Research Campus

Janelia Research Campus is Howard Hughes Medical Institute's (HHMI) pioneering research center in Ashburn, Virginia, where scientists pursue fundamental neuroscience and imaging in a uniquely innovative, collaborative atmosphere. The Janelia Undergraduate Scholars program is a 10-week summer program aimed at undergraduates and post-baccalaureate students with significant research experience, who have not committed to a PhD program. This program provides an outstanding research experience, an opportunity to network with colleagues at all career levels, and a chance to form lifelong scientific collaborations and friendships. Student STEM Organization Spotlight: Marine Science Society

The Marine Science Society is a group of like-minded students interested in studying, having a career in, or just learning more about the field of marine science and what it has to offer. In this club, students have the opportunity to participate in field trips and career panels from graduate students and professionals in the field. The goals of this club are to connect students with common interests, introduce them to marine science at the College, and familiarize them with nearby resources such as VIMS.
