Basic Information

My name is Sarah Marcum and I am a Bowling Green, KY native. I am a wife to David and we have a sweet corgi named Daisy. David and I are approaching our one-year anniversary in July. We got married last summer in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

I graduated from WKU in 2006. I taught kindergarten for six years at Natcher Elementary. I made the move to Jody Richards Elementary in 2012 when the school opened its doors. I have continued to teach kindergarten during the three years that I have been at JRES. I am very close to finishing up my Masters degree in Teacher Leadership.

Short Term Classroom Goal

This year I enjoyed starting a classroom Twitter account to keep parents more informed of classroom information and activities. I received a lot of positive feedback from families and they enjoyed being able to see pictures of their child and snapshots from our day. I hope to continue to grow in my use of technology and find other ways to keep families involved in what we are learning.
