Safety Update
With the exception of service animals, dogs and other pets are not allowed on school grounds during arrival and dismissal. This is for the safety of our students and staff.
We still welcome dogs in vehicles in the car rider line, but will no longer allow leashed dogs on our sidewalks on school property.
Walk to School Day
On Thursday, October 12th, Powell students will be participating in the International Walk to School Day. The focus of the day is to encourage our students to “get out of the cars and onto the sidewalks” not just for the event day, but also for the rest of the school year. This event encourages more physical activity, more family involvement, and a better, safer, cleaner environment for all of us. For those students who live too far away from the school to walk, Mrs. Owens will meet you at Capstone Park at 7:30 and you will walk to school from there. If you want to meet Mr. Kirbo at the corner of Cat's Cradle and Research Forest Dr. to walk to school at 7:30, you can do that also. So, put October 12th on your calendars and we will SEE YOU ON THE PATH!
