Dance & Band Performances This Week
Looking for a way to get into the holiday spirit?
Dance and Band have holiday performances this week!
Dance- 6th, 7th, & 8th grade dance students will have a holiday performance Tuesday, December 7th in the Performing Arts Center at 6:00 pm! Dancers need to arrive by 5:30 pm. 7th & 8th grade dancers choreographed their own dances!
Band- 6th, 7th & 8th grade band students will perform Thursday, December 9th in the Performing Arts Center at 6:00 pm! 7th & 8th grade musicians need to arrive by 5:00 pm, and 6th grade musicians need to arrive by 5:15 pm. All musicians, please review the concert attire information from Mr. Wade. 7th-8th grade students will have an after school rehearsal Tuesday, December 7th until 5:00 pm.
Both performances are open to the public and will be recorded.

Games Club News
Games Club has had a lot of participation, but the limited number of games and passes creates issues. If you have been to Games Club at least 2 times, you are welcome to take a pass. Teachers will receive a list of students. If you have never tried Games Club and would like to, stop by the media center and talk to Mrs. Spencer.

Masks Must Be Worn on Buses
Effective Monday, August 30th, face masks will be required on all school buses. If your child rides a school bus, please provide a mask for him or her to wear on the school bus. This new update and mandate was communicated to school districts by the South Carolina Department of Education on Thursday, August 26th. Superintendent Wilson communicated this change to all principals asking for notification be sent to all parents and students. If you have questions regarding this mandate, please contact Dr. Jerome Hudson at the Anderson School District Five District Office. The phone number is 864-260-5000.

Early Dismissal / Appointment Policies
- When you arrive at school, please call the office: 864-260-5205 to let us know you are here to pick up a student for dismissal.
- Make sure to have your license ready and press the buzzer for entrance.
- Once the door is unlocked, be prepared to show your license through the window while you will remain in the foyer. Please DO NOT enter the office area.
- We will have a sign-out sheet in the foyer. Please know that we will get your student to you as quickly as we can.

1. Take the temperature of any child demonstrating shortness of breath, loss of taste, sore throat, muscle aches, chills, new or worsening cough, or runny nose.
2. Keep the child at home one or more days to monitor symptoms.
3. If you decide to have a COVID-19 test, notify the school nurse of the results so that the school can implement the Enhanced Health and Safety Protocols in the classroom(s) where your child attended.
*All information will remain confidential between the school and family. No other families will be given the health information of your child.

AIT’s Horticulture students have grown Poinsettias this holiday season and are now selling them! They have an assortment of beautiful colors from traditional red, white, pink, and winter rose. You may select a green or gold pot cover.
