Will you make it to eighteen?

In a new world, after a terrible war, teens are no longer safe. A new law, called the Unwind order has been passed, allowing parents to sign the order for their teens to be unwound. No one really knows how it happens, but after you go in, you won't come out in one piece ever again. Different parts of the bodies of teenagers are being sold to people who need an arm replaced, or a new heart and not all teens are excited to join the 'divided state of life'.

Risa has no parents and is being unwound to cut the costs of an orphanage, and Connor, a troublemaker, is a runaway. Lev's unwinding has been planned since his birth, which has been part of his family's religion. Along the journey these three teens will come together out of need of each other. As long as they can survive until age eighteen, then no one can harm them. But every part of them is wanted, and it makes survival seem less likely.
