Intent to Re-Enroll at BMSA
If you submit the "Intent to Re-Enroll" form and do not get a call from BMSA, please know your submission has been received and we plan on your return. We will be contacting families who do not fill out the form to ensure they are intending not to return. Students not intending to return will forfeit their spot, opening it up to new incoming lottery applicants.
IMPORTANT SIBLING INFORMATION: Any incoming siblings, new to BMSA next school year, must fill out a new student "Online School of Choice" application which will be available on January 5, 2021 and closes on January 28, 2021. For instance, if you have one child attending BMSA currently, and now have an incoming Kindergartner, please submit the new student online School of Choice application for that incoming child. (Incoming siblings must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2021.)
HELP SPREAD THE WORD: If you know of any families interested in enrolling at BMSA for the 2021-2022 school year, now is the time! Please encourage your friends and families to visit our BMSA website and complete the "on-time" School of Choice lottery application, which will be available January 5th through January 28th.
The Barbara Morgan STEM Academy lottery draw is set to be held on Monday, February 8 at WASD headquarters.
More information about School of Choice applications can be found on the district website: https://www.westada.org/domain/84 or by calling BMSA directly.

BMSA Roaring Rocket Read-A-Thon is here!
Last Friday, your student should have brought home the Roaring Rocket Read-A-Thon packet with information about the event, prize details, reading requirements, and a donation pledge form. It can also be found here, click or copy and paste into your web browser: https://tinyurl.com/y64zzen5
Read-A-Thon Dates:
December 6-12:
Students begin selecting the books they are excited to read. They ask family and friends for pledges (a donation amount per minute the student reads or a fixed amount donation).
December 13-19:
Read, read, read! Students log their reading minutes and turn in the reading logs DAILY. Students can read by themselves, on an educational app, or with a 'helper' (family/friend reading with them).
*Parents, please initial the reading logs daily.
Every student who participates and turns in their log sheet daily will visit the PRIZE PATROL for a daily reading prize.
At the end of the Read-A-Thon, based on pledges submitted by January 5th, two students from every grade level will receive a $15 BMSA Gift Certificate to purchase books through Scholastic. The students will be selected based on the most minutes read and the student that raised the most money for our school.
December 20- January 3:
Students collect pledge money. Pledge donations may be made by check to BMSA PTO or by scanning the Venmo QR code on the pledge form.
Happy READING!
