Message from the Principal
Hello Wildcat Families-
I hope that you all had a productive week. I was able to be in lots of classrooms and I am always so impressed with how hard your students are working. It's awesome.
I wanted to remind everyone about our informational meeting on Tuesday at 5pm, where I'll tell you what I know about re-entry plans for kids. The state of Oregon and our Department of Education has asked that we prioritize a return for Kindergarten-3rd grade students but we are hoping that all students will have the option to return this year. So regardless of your child's grade, please try to attend or watch the video recording we send out afterwards. The Zoom link for the meeting is HERE.
The Monday PSO meeting has been rescheduled as a result of the community meeting. More information to follow.
As the year moves along, our teachers are getting to know your students better. Their classroom communities are tight and they are safer places to have difficult conversations. Our staff is actively planning and learning about discussion tools we can use to address topics like racism, the political unrest in our country and all of the other things our students have questions about. A team of Equity minded educators in our school district has helped our teams with resources. One of those is this Social Justice Book List for families. You'll find lots of great reads on here for all age and developmental levels.
As always please feel free to reach out to our office team for support. We are here for you and your students.
Thanks a lot.
Mr. Blasquez/Mr. B, Principal
Muchas gracias.
Sr. Blasquez / Sr. B, Director
