December Update

A newsletter from your Cen10 School Counselors

November in Review

Full steam ahead! The school year is moving quickly and your school counselors are happy to share the accomplishments made in the month of November.

To begin the month, we continued to assist students with their college and career aspirations. Our anticipated iApplied Night had over 100 students and families in attendance. Students had the opportunity to receive an overview of all that the UC, CSU, and FAFSA applications entail. We provided students with the chance to join us during their office hours to assist with completing their college applications along with the amazing Ms. Villalobos, Centennial's College, and Career Specialist.

New opportunities are approaching to provide students with the support that they need before the end of the semester. With every new month, your school counselors will continue to support every student with their academic, social and emotional, and college and career needs. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact your student's school counselor. We look forward to working with you and your students.

Goodbye fall, hello California winter!

A Look Into December

As this year comes to a close, we are excited for the start of 2022 and the new beginnings and opportunities it will bring. We are finishing up small groups for our junior class, which have focused on tools to bolster academic achievement. We prepare to embark on registration for the 2022-23 school year (it's almost time!). We continue to push all of our students to finish first semester strong. As we end this year, we are honored and humbled to work with each and every student that walk these halls.

In order to make certain that we begin the new semester strong, we want to remind you of our schedule change policy. Almost all courses are year-long, which means that second semester should be a continuation of the 1st semester schedule. If your student is in need of a schedule change or adjustment, please make sure to speak with your school counselor the FIRST WEEK back from Winter Break (January 10th-14th).
