The Preception of Mr.Kibbles

by: Mr.Kibbles

I see myself as an over average teen who's proud to be Mexican and who's very athletic. People may think of me as tough and insensitive when in fact I'm very gentle and sensitive. I wear cloths that fit my mood and style which people think i don't have a set style, but I's just different. I'm also very good with equations and problem solving which makes me feel smart.

In the play Twelfth Night, the character Viola is a woman who was rich and noble , but lost everything in a ship wreck. She then convinces the Captain of the ship to help her disguise herself as a man to work for Orsino. "I prithee and I’ll pay thee bounteously conceal me what I am, and be my aid for such disguise as haply shall become the form of my intent" (I.ii.49-52). Pg. 3 She then falls in love with Orsino, but cannot confess her love for him because he's in love with Olivia. To make things even worse she accidentally makes Olivia fall in love with her with her own looks. Therefore, she gets herself stuck inside a love triangle between herself, Orsino, and Olivia.

I believe people see me as a happy guy with no worries at all. My friends see me act an idiotic person who has a great sense of humor. I believe society sees me as their average stereo-typical Mexican because I act like one and i do everything the stereo types say. Then I believe my family sees me as a responsible and generous person.

I believe that other characters in Twelfth Night see Viola as a man named Cesario. They believe that she is a man with feminine features which is quite odd for men like her. Orsino can't even tell that she's not a man, "That say thou art a man. Diana’s lip is not more smooth and rubious. Thy small pipe is as the maiden’s organ, shrill and sound,

And all is semblative a woman’s part" (I.iv.31-34). Pg. 2 Olivia has even fallen in love with her because she likes her feminine feature because she finds it attractive. Although people like Sir Toby and Fabian see her as weak as a girl, which she is, but they still think she's a man...just not a manly man.

I'm a Mexican male who plays soccer and mows lawns. People expect me to be strong and tough for how I am, but I don't like to be like that. I'm usually sensitive and very passive. I don't enjoy violence like most guys do, instead I prefer sitting back and looking at the sky. Although for who I am people wouldn't approve of this so I usually don't tell anyone because they don't need to know.

Viola is a female that had to disguise herself as a man in order to get a job. She needed a job because she lost everything at sea in a shipwreck. She disguised herself because noble woman like her do not work, but she needs money. Therefore she becomes a man named Cesario and being a man with feminine features other men like Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, and Fabian noticed it and want to fight. "Therefore on, or strip your sword stark naked, for meddle you must, that’s certain, or forswear to wear iron about you"(III.iv.224-227). Pg. 12. Although she is a girl she is forced to act like a man because of her disguise.

Similarities and Differences

A similarity between Viola and myself is that she gets herself into tricky situations, and I also get myself in some tricky situations. Another similarity is that Viola doesn't like fighting a neither do I. Also Another similarity is that we are both very obedient to those who tell us what to do.

A difference is that I come from a family who used to be a lower class family, but is now a middle class family. Where Viola came from a upper class family, is now a middle class servant for the duke. Another difference is that
