FIND YOUR CALLING
Find Your Calling is on a mission to help students figure out what they want to do before they rack up thousands of dollars in debt and find themselves in a job they can’t stand. The program starts by assessing what’s important to the student and then works on pairing the student with career options and the education needed to get there.
Students start by taking either a short or long questionnaire based on their interests. Find Your Calling then shares personal strengths and pathways. Each pathway can be added to student profiles and each one is then broken down into more specific careers.
For instance, if the Travel and Tourism pathway is suggested, students can learn specifically about being an event planner. The event planner page—a specific career page—gives a projected yearly salary, suggested level of education, tasks performed by someone in this field, and even a list of specific companies that have hired people in the student’s state or region!
Once careers have been “liked” and automatically saved to student profiles, Find Your Calling goes so far as to suggest schools in the area that will help students reach their goal.

Data Drives the Process
1. Data should be collected on the use of the effectiveness of each accommodation and modification.
2. Decisions in the ARD meeting about ICS times should be based on the data collected.
3. ICS time should be ARDed based on the amount of time needed to implement the student's program, which includes accommodations and modifications in the general education classroom.
4. Each student's needs must be considered separately, based on the individual data collected.
District Level Assessment Information
2. Grades will be taken and will count in the "minor" category. DLA data should be used as a tool for goal setting and instructional adjustments.
