Parents please make sure your child reads at least 30 minutes every night. Research says if a student reads every day for at least 20 minutes a day, they will hear 1.8 million words a year, and are more likely to score better than 90% of their peers. From the Principal
Thank you for coming out to Open House on Tuesday! Open House was a great time to stop by and catch up on all the great progress your child has been making so far. We had lots of really amazing student work posted out in the hallways. Our teachers and staff were able to share lots of ways to help our students grow and make progress this year.
If you were not able to attend, please take a moment to watch our videos. These videos helped set the tone for the year. In addition, we want to make sure you are aware of our Title 1 Program at MPE.
I hope you were able to get some ideas on ways you can help us meet our 3G's-Goals, Growth, and Grit.
I also wanted to remind you about our two days in October that are dedicated to parent conferences. October 7th and 18th are early release days, and student will be released at 12:20 pm. One of our campus requirements is to have at least one parent conference a year. If you would like to meet with your child's teacher on these days, please contact them so they can set it up. These conferences provide a great opportunity to discuss your child's goals for the year.
Your Proud Principal.
Dr. Doreen Martinez
