Good Afternoon!

We have made it to the end of January! We had a busy week but continue to navigate the 3rd quarter. Next week is the 5th week of the quarter and it would be a great time to check in with your child. Please, if you have any questions or concerns, reach out to the teacher so they can help.

We also have P/T Conferences this Tuesday from 3:00-6:30 if you would like to meet with a teacher. Please contact them for a conference.

Summer Job fair for students on April 4 seeks local businesses
Dublin City Schools students will have the opportunity to meet with potential summer employers at our free summer job fair on April 4, 9 a.m.-noon at Dublin Jerome.

Community Champion Award nominations are now open
Each year, the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and our business community partner to honor students and staff who have given back during the school year. Nominations from the 2020 Community Champion Awards may be made at this link. Please take a moment to recognize those exemplifying the best in service, caring, and selflessness.

All rising 9th-grade families are invited to attend Curriculum Night. There will be a presentation followed by a Q&A in the commons with specific academic areas. If any families would like to ask questions teachers and counselors will be available at 6:00 pm in the commons.

Cap and Gown Deadline is TODAY!

Nominations for Community Champions

Now in its 15th year, the Community Champion Awards has recognized more than 3,100 students and staff members of Dublin City Schools. Each Community Champion receives a limited edition Community Champion Award medal. In addition, numerous seniors will receive a cash scholarship, one student in each grade K - 11 will receive special recognition, and a Dublin City Schools staff member will have a $500 donation made in his/her name to a school project of choice.

LEARN TO SMILE: A Positive Psychology Workshop

Could you benefit from gaining a stronger mental well-being? Would you like to lower your stress levels? If so, join the Learn to SMILE workshop, Monday’s after school from 2:45 pm to 3:15 pm in the library. This workshop will explore exercises in positive psychology to increase your life satisfaction. First session begins on Monday, February 3rd, after school in the Library. If you have questions, please ask Mr. Zesiger in room A113.

Dublin ACT

Our goal is to lead others in drug and alcohol use prevention. We have created a website to keep you updated on how to best support your children in their high school environment, as well as provide information on opportunities available for students. News from the Jerome Athletic Department

Track and Field Meeting

For any athlete interested in participating in track and field, there will be an informational meeting for parents and athletes Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 7:00pm in the DJHS CPA. This meeting will introduce the outdoor season and give important information regarding our track and field at DJHS this year. Please plan to attend this brief meeting.

NACAC National College Fair

We wanted to inform you of the upcoming NACAC National College Fair on February 9th at the Columbus Convention Center. This is a premiere event in our area and a great opportunity for students and families to "shop" schools as they begin their college research process.

Please not: For current seniors, we will have financial aid counselors available on site. Students will be able to compare award letters and get help with the FAFSA if they have not yet filed it.


The Dublin Local Scholarships are provided by local Dublin businesses, families and organizations. Scholarships vary from $500-$5000. Log in to Naviance and go to scholarships. A separate application and transcript is needed for each scholarship in which you wish to apply. Applications are open from January 31st until March 2nd. To order your transcripts and/or for any questions, please see Mrs. Vaccari in Guidance.

Dublin City Schools Parent University

In a large and dynamic school district such as Dublin City Schools, it can be difficult for parents to learn about all of the different academic and extracurricular opportunities available for their students. The goal of establishing a Dublin City Schools Parent University is to provide a vehicle that increases awareness regarding all of the programs the District has to offer, as well as some of the challenges and opportunities facing public education.

Travel to Ecuador and the Galapagos

Students in Dublin City Schools have the opportunity to extend their learning beyond the classroom walls in June of 2021 when they tour Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands! There are 2 informational meetings coming up. If you have a student who is currently in 8th grade-11th grade and they are interested in traveling with us, please RSVP to one of these meetings.
