NEWS FROM OUR BASA PROGRAM
BASA (the Boynton Aerospace Science Academy) kicked off its partnership with the Boca Airport! On Tuesday, October 13, our students met (digitally, of course) with airport management team members Christine Landers and Scott Kohut. They began by explaining the airport's history and its relationship to the community. The Boca Airport is working on a Master Plan Update and re-imagining the airport's future needs and development. Our BASA students will shadow the project from start to finish.
In addition, BASA has entered the FAA's Airport Design Challenge! Our team will recreate and redesign the Boca Airport in Minecraft. They will have to take into account future technologies, possible airspace congestion, and resolve other operational challenges. Godspeed to the BASA Team!

Testing Information
Register for Testing
The Testing Registration Window opens again Monday, October 26th
Please log in with your child and go to the Student Portal to search using the word “testing.” Select the tile that will appear “Testing Registration.”. This will allow you to acknowledge whether your child will or will not return to campus to complete their State or National Assessment opportunity.
Students coming onto campus to test must follow school and CDC guidelines and wear a mask on campus while following social distancing procedures.
Please note that if you select "No” for ACT-NCR, PSAT NMSQT, FSA ELA or FSA Algebra, you are missing an opportunity to meet a graduation requirement. The FDOE does not have any plans to waive the graduation requirements for 2020-2021.
If your student will need transportation, the school needs to know seven (7) days before the exam date. Once a student has completed a given test for that day, the school would need to provide a location for that student to work the rest of the day, until the PM transportation pick-up.
Please follow up with Ms. Parise, your school’s test coordinator to confirm the testing dates for the assessments you select. A majority of testing takes place at the start of the school day, so please plan accordingly once the dates are released by the school to you.
