Back to School Guidance to Reduce Student Stress
Parents can play a large role in instilling wellness habits at home. Evidence shows these practices improve mental health:
- Sufficient sleep every night
- Daily physical exercise
- Healthy diet
- Time outdoors, especially in nature
- Open conversations about mental health

DHS Expands Access to COVID-19 Self-Tests
Wisconsin households now eligible to order a free package of COVID-19 self-tests
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is launching an online program for Wisconsinites to get free at-home rapid COVID-19 tests delivered directly to them. Starting today, Wisconsin residents can go to the Say Yes! COVID Test website and place an order for a package of five rapid antigen COVID-19 tests at no cost. Initial supplies will allow each household to order one package that will arrive in 1-2 weeks.
“It is critical for Wisconsinites to have access to a COVID-19 test when they need one, and this program delivers tests right to their door,” said DHS Secretary-designee Karen Timberlake. “We encourage all Wisconsin households to have COVID-19 self-tests on hand to protect themselves and those around them.”

Around the Community
Sunday, August 28, was the 3rd Annual Cadott Car Show. This is an annual event that raises money for Cadott Youth Sports. Although there was some rain on and off throughout the show, it ended in beautiful sunshine!
There were a total of 124 cars and even more spectators! There was delicious food and beverages, Village Scoop Ice Cream and Tessy's Popcorn.
People of all ages enjoyed the modern and classic cars, trucks, big rigs, motorcycles, tractors and farm trucks. If they weren't enjoying the food or cars, they were having fun on the bouncy house, checking out the vendor booths or just listening to the music.
This event would not be possible without our local sponsors and the parents and athletes of Cadott Elementary School. The event raised close to $6,700.00 for Cadott Youth Sports! Thank you to all who attended and supported our youth, we hope to see you again next year!
