Career and Technical Education
Let us not forget that we have CTE classes that are here to help you on your create pathway. Either you want to study law, photography, or be in the medical field if you want more action there: fire and rescue.
This month's CTE class we want to acknowledge is Pharmacy Tech!!!
Students may enroll in Ms. Glavas' pharmacy technician courses during their senior year for two semesters. You will gain the skills and knowledge needed to work as a licensed or qualified pharmacist in this course. One advantage of taking this course is that you may work as a pharmacy technician straight out of high school and earn more than the minimum wage. Additionally, you have the option to enroll in a licensed pharmacy technician program before taking the national certification exam. You will not only study in class, but there will also be activities outside of class that will provide you with real-world pharmaceutical experience. Because of our partnership with Walgreens, our students may experience work-based learning which will help them complete their pathway towards graduation.

Fall Dance 2022
The Fall Dance took place on Saturday, Oct. 29 and it featured snacks, drinks and music by DJ Lil Jon Stop It. We wanted to make it very special because the date for the homecoming dance was ultimately canceled. Since the dance wasn’t the Saturday following the football game, our great staff decided to change it to a fall formal dance instead. Here's EC Central's 2022 homecoming queen, Alexis Ridle, with some emotions on the cancellation of the homecoming dance back in September, “At first I was mad because I wanted homecoming and the dance together. But now that some time has passed it gives everyone more time to get ready and we have never had a fall dance before so yeah it should be fun.” This is how a lot of students feel about this topic. The dance turnout was a success. We loved seeing our students dressed up and coming together to have fun on this special night.

Teacher Highlight
This Month's Teacher Highlight goes to Mrs. Singleton. She will go above and beyond for her students. She will make sure that you have a passing grade in all of your classes, She will make you do all your missing assignments in other classes, in her class. She will contact your teacher even to try and persuade them to make up their work to bring up your grade. Mrs. Singleton will also interact with her assignments so it's not so boring and teaches you at the same time. This is why Mrs. Singleton is our Teacher Highlight. Thank you Mrs. Singleton for all that you do.
