Spring Picnic Lunch THANKS!
Thank you for the generosity of the parents who contributed to our PTA Hospitality picnic lunch last Thursday with paper products, silverware, drinks, pasta salad, fruit, drinks, and desserts! It was enjoyed by the staff. The PTA also provided deli meat, fixings, and bread/rolls to make sandwiches. An extra thanks to Alissa Charters for all your homemade fudge and wrap sandwiches. Also, thanks to Lindsay Laiacono and Kristin Gifford for your help with set up and clean up. The Silver Springs PTA Hospitality appreciates the kindness of our SS families.

Supporting the The 7 Habits at home!
7-Habits Take Home Activity for April
This month’s Habit: Habit 6 Synergize
Due Date: April 30, 2019
Habit #6: Synergize
What this means: Working together is better. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
“I get along well with other people and work well in groups.”
“I value the strengths of others and allow myself to learn from them.”
“I know that working together as a team we can get more done and come up with better solutions than we could alone.”
“I seek out other people’s ideas to solve problems.”
How can I do this in my life?
With your children, choose a problem you may have (like curfew or completing tasks). Use the Synergy Action Plan to summarize your child's solution and your solution: (1) define the problem, (2) share your views, (3) think of solutions, (4) choose the best solution together. See if you can reach a better solution (The High Way) than either of you could come up with alone.
Great Books for Habit #6- Synergize
Saturdays and Teacakes by Lester Laminack
Officer Buckle and Gloria by Peggy Rathman
Swimmy by Leo Lionni
Ox-Cart Man by Donald Hall
My Friend is Sad by Mo Willams
A Chair for My Mother by Vera B. Williams
