Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep.
Provide a nutritious breakfast.
Make sure that your child arrives to school on time.
Talk about the test with your child and make sure that they are not scared or anxious.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATES:
- Fence screening has been installed all fencing on the playground, around the construction site (except for side facing playground), and by Monty Park.
- Installation of piping for water access to the bungalows has begun.
It has been awhile since we have had Principal for a Day...specifically speaking, since December 2019! This is a fun opportunity for community members to get a glimpse of how wonderful Monte Vista is! Our Principal for a Day, Jomie Liu, who is the Senior Program Manager of the YWCA, will be here next Thursday, April 27th from 8:30-11:00. In addition to walking around campus and doing recess supervision, we will visit and have interactive sessions with some classes.
Girl Scout Troop #621 Blessing Bags Drive: As part of their Bronze Award outreach program, our Monte Vista 5th grade Girl Scout Troop will be collecting essential items to support patients going through cancer treatment at the White Memorial Cancer Center.
Donations of the following items to insert into "Blessing Bags" for the patients will be accepted. The patients at this center are an underserved community, so your donations will go an extra mile to help lift a patient's spirits. There will be a couple boxes across from the front office window during the week of May 8-12 to collect donations.
