How to avoid "helicopter parenting" while keeping your kids safe
Our very own Kim Crosen will be leading our discussion in the importance of allowing your children to make mistakes, why a little bit of risk is important for their development, and the impact of giving age appropriate chores. We will also be giving fun, interesting ideas on how to spend this summer with your little ones! Join us on May 18th from noon - 1:00 p.m. Childcare is available, please email Becky Frost at firstname.lastname@example.org in advance to reserve. Please pack your kiddo a lunch if they are joining us for childcare!
$5 lunch option!
We will be having a sandwich tray from Jimmy Johns, some chips, and a dessert available for $5.00 per person if you are interested in enjoying lunch during our meeting!
Age appropriate Chores
Heading into summer means a change in schedule. Why not take that opportunity to introduce age appropriate chores? Research shows that when children take part in the care and upkeep of the household, it gives them a sense of accomplishment. It helps them learn responsibility and gain important life skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
