September is national Attendance Awareness month. We have only 15 school days in September, so encourage your child to be here every day. We will have awards for all students that have perfect attendance (no absences, tardies, or checkouts) during September. The CCSD Attendance procedures are on pages 17-18 of the Student/Parent handbook at

Please note that every day a student is absent is a lost opportunity for learning. Too many absences not only can affect achievement but can also affect the student’s social and/or emotional well-being. Many students have difficulty readjusting to school after an absence. So, please help your student learn by sending them to school each day they aren’t too sick to attend. Thank you!

Our fall book fair starts on Saturday 9/9 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM and ends on Thursday 9/15. We are also open after school from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Tuesday 9/12.
