Tuesday March 17 - PBL Exhibition Night
Central Noble Elementary students will be hosting a Project-Based Learning Exhibition Night Tuesday, March 17, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Project-Based Learning has been a focus at Central Noble Elementary the past couple of years. All of our staff have been trained in PBL 101 through PBL works and many have been to more advanced curriculum training.
PBL has a couple of things that make it special, one is project authenticity. One goal is to make schoolwork applicable to the real world. How can students apply what they have learned into something that can benefit the community they live in.
The other key component is a public display of learning. This is where our exhibition night is key. Students are taught presentation skills, public speaking, and are forced to meet a deadline.
PBL Exhibition night will require students to remain in their classrooms/presentation areas while we run a public open house from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Each classroom will be hosting something.
Some of the projects that will be featured...
- LEGO First Robotics
- Healthy Life Choices (Smoothie Bar)
- Mini Soapbox Derby
- Roller Coaster Forces
- Date Night
- Solar System
- Move your body, Move Your Mind
- Chicken Coop
- Goat Yoga
- History of our Town
- Lil Cougar BBQ Co.
Teachers will communicate what times students need to be back in class on the 17th. Plan on 4:45 ish. Parents, please invite additional family and friends.
We will also have brisket sandwich meals available until sold out courtesy of Lil Cougar BBQ Co.
