Youth of all ages, discover the indoor craft table at both libraries. Each library is different, so be sure to visit both places.
Weekly Take and Make Crafts

Children of all ages, visit both libraries weekly to pick up a craft! Craft kits will be different at each location. Some kits may require help for younger crafters.

See what happens when a teenager learns she must protect the world’s oceans against power-hungry mermaids.
SLIME

Age Level: Ages 5 and up
We will be making a few different kinds of slime with lots of add-ons! Glitter, foam, beads, and lots of other fun things will be provided.
Paint a Turkey!

Age Level: Ages 5 and up
Join us to paint your own ceramic turkey! All supplies will be provided; just roll up your sleeves!
Minecraft
Thursday, November 16, 5 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Ages 6 and up
Join us at the library to play Minecraft Bedrock edition! The library will be providing realms so only our library participants will be joining us. Four laptops will be available for use. If you need one to use, please register. Registration is not required if you are using your own device with Minecraft Bedrock on it.
Baby Bedtime Story Time

LEGOS
Tuesday, November 28, 5 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: Ages 5 and up
Our LEGO Build Challenge will be to build an animal. After the challenge, we will give children the opportunity to get creative and build anything they choose with LOTS of LEGOS! They can work on their own creations or build as a team. We will then display your creations in the library.

Teen Snowman Statues

Join us to make two personalized snowman statues! You can choose to keep them or give to friends for the holiday season!

Walking Rhode Island
Tuesday, November 7, 6 p.m., Harmony Library
Avid hiker and newspaper columnist John Kostrzewa will speak about walking in Rhode Island. His talk and slide show will include how he got started, where he has hiked, and what he has learned. He will share his observations about the history, geological features, vegetation and wildlife he has found along the trails. During his talk, he will also explain what makes Rhode Island’s trails unique and outline some of the challenges Rhode Islanders face to maintain the state’s public preserves.
Fearless Art

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the group will meet only once in November.
Glocester Manton Library
Adults of all ages and artistic abilities looking to experiment with painting and drawing are invited to join the group. We have created a supportive atmosphere for people to come together, explore art, find their own artistic style, and be inspired and influenced by others. This is a group-guided art adventure! Join the journey!
Writers’ Group

Life and Genealogy of Ernest P. Tucker
Tuesday, November 14, 6 p.m., Harmony Library
Join us at the library for an evening of local history and genealogy with presenter Bob Goudreau as we learn about the life and family of longtime Harmony resident Ernest P. Tucker, who lived from 1896-1991. Bob Goudreau is a self-taught genealogist. After years of practice, he has learned how to use many genealogical and historical resources, both print and web-based. Bob will share tips for beginners who are just getting started and advice for finding clues and leads for more advanced researchers.

Paper Quilting Holiday Card Workshop for Adults
Tuesday, November 28, 6 p.m. and Wednesday, November 29, at 10:30 a.m., Harmony Library
Due to the overwhelming response from September’s paper quilting workshop, local crafters Carol and Carole will return to the Harmony Library to offer a special holiday program. Participants will learn how to fold multi-colored paper into a holiday pattern. The finished products can be used as greeting cards. All materials will be provided. Note: Registration will open on Tuesday, November 14, at 5 p.m.
