I chose this book because it is a informative first hand account of the reign of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. The author was a girl living in Cambodia in the reign of the Khmer Rouge, so the details are definitely accurate. The book was published in 2000, which was 25 years after the end of the end of the Khmer Rouge regime.

Rationale

I chose this article because it contains specific details about the fall of Cambodia as if it was happening in recently. Finally, the purpose is to inform, so it is more likely to be based on fact.
