Something to think about...
"School libraries should be a focal point for a school. In a school library there should be the resources to support every aspect of school life: every project, books to support sport, dancing, art, music; and it should also be the place to go for stories and poems. It should be an unmissable, unavoidable place."
Michael Rosen, Children's Laureate 2007 - 2009

Looking for a great read?
Try Wonder by R.J. Palacio. This book is tremendous and a must read for all year 4s and above...including adults. August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial deformity that prevented him from going to a mainstream school—until now. He's about to start 5th grade at Beecher Prep, and if you've ever been the new kid then you know how hard that can be. Watch the book trailer here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgB7_KpBDss and if you are against bullying you can explore this site and pledge to end it. http://www.randomhouse.com/kids/choose-kind/pledge.php
