News From School - November 2022
Everything OHS
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
October wrapped up with our annual Family/Teacher Conferences and I hope that you had the opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher regarding their academic and social progress so far this school year. Conferences are an important component to ensure that the school and the home work together to maximize your child’s full potential.
November promises to be a busy month with several events scheduled so please be sure to check the Important Dates to Know section of this newsletter.Halloween News: Wearing Costumes in School
Halloween - We will continue the tradition of optional costumes on 10/31. Please remember - Food, of any kind, is not allowed in classrooms due to ORR District policies.
Students that choose to participate are reminded that they must not wear a costume that interferes with their ability to sit down in the classroom and cafeteria. Any type of costume that depicts violence will not be allowed. Masks, large hats, and large headwear will not be allowed. Appropriate footwear must be brought to school for PE and recess.

Please note that even though meals will be free for all, it is very important for families to still complete the household Application for Free and Reduced Price Meals for the 2022-2023 school year. You can view and complete the application here: link to meal application. We strongly encourage ALL families to submit this form as it allows us to establish eligibility benefits such as waived fees for those who qualify.
