Adventure awaits ....I's OUR time to ROAR Sept. 18, 2020
Our adventure begins...
Dear Rosewood Families,
We have just completed our first 5 day week of the school year and it was AMAZING! What a joy to see our kids smiling eyes and excitement at being in class, whether in person or virtually. Their enthusiasm for learning is a delight.
Students in grades 3-5 started bringing their laptops home this past week. Students without a signed Technology Form will not be able to bring it home until a parent or guardian completes it. K-2 students will be bringing home their laptops this week. Teachers in all grades will begin to assign work sung their laptops for their at home learning days.
Please make sure that your child completes their school work on the at home learning days to be counted present for that day.
B day families, students will be attending tomorrow (Monday) and then Wednesday and Friday. A day families, this week students attend on Tuesday and Thursday.
Have a fantastic week.
Your proud Principal,
Please stay safe and healthy, by social distancing, washing your hands frequently and staying home if possible. THANK YOU
Please do not send your child to school if they are sick. If anyone in your family is exhibiting symptoms of Covid -19 or may have been exposed please call school and talk with Nurse Tammi. Keeping our school healthy and safe it a true TEAM effort.
Please remember that students cannot wear open toed shoes, backless shoes or flip flops to school. Children are going out for recess and Physical Education. Those foot coverings are not safe for outdoor school activities. Thank you for your support.
Free and reduced lunch applications
We want to ensure that if that program is not a possibility in January that our families that need the support have it in place already.
Free Breakfast and lunch
Please do not forget to send the form back to school, if your family needs meals for the at home school day.
Car drop off and pick up
This year, for health and safety, staff are not opening car doors for students. When it is safe for everyone then we can resume this practice. THANK YOU for your understanding.
Technology Fee and laptops
Our 1-5 students, that have returned signed technology documents will be bringing home their laptops next week. Please make sure that your student brings the laptop and power cord back on their next in school day. Should a student misplace the cord it is a $35.00 cost and is NOT covered under the technology fee above.
We will notify Kindergarten families when their student laptops will be coming home.
Fall into Reading
Change of transportation and dismissal
We also, cannot release students after 2:00 as we are preparing for dismissal.
When students are not in school for their off or C day their attendance will be counted. Students in 4th and 5th grade will log in to Canvas and take the quiz labeled "attendance". Students in 4K-3 attendance will betaken on the work that they have completed on the C or off day. Virtual students attendance will be taken by 8:15 each day. Once things have settled, the district will make modifications as needed.
