- Parents can set up an eWallet for a safe, secure, cashless way for your student to shop at the book fair without you. Learn more here.
- Or if you prefer, shop online at our own school Book Fair page with their families. Explore the Virtual Book Fair, create an eWallet, or shop the online store. Be sure to sign-in so Ladera STARS library gets credit!

A Message from Mrs. Wall
CAASPP Testing in 2021 and student performance data
I am happy to let you know that CVUSD has received a waiver and will not be administrating the standardized tests this year. Instead, our schools and districts will be giving the District benchmark exams and assessments (as we do every year) and carefully comparing the data to years past to learn more about academic setbacks related to school closures and COVID-19-related impacts on learning.
I can tell you that at the end of Trimester 2 our students in most grade levels were on par with students at the end of Trimester 2 of 2020. This is good news and a definite testimonial of the hard work our teachers, students and parents have put towards academic performance.
Upper Grade Playground and other campus updates
- We are in the final stages of planning for our new upper grade playground. With a space theme and an ultra-modern look, next year's 3rd-5th graders will be zipping, swinging, and climbing to the STARS!
- A very large shade structure is planned for our quad area (between classroom buildings). This will be a great benefit to our students during our outdoor assemblies and events, and will enhance the area as an outdoor-extension to our classrooms. Yay for shade!
- We strive to always keep moving forward with our school's technology. Our classrooms from Room 9 to Room 16 = our TK room, will be getting Promethean ActivPanels installed this summer (or maybe before). These 75" touchscreen panels will bring all sorts of new opportunities into the classrooms...some we haven't even thought of yet!
I know this has been quite a year! Please help your kids to focus and put their best efforts into their academics. We have six more weeks of important learning. Let's finish strong!
We are in this TOGETHER!
