Laurelton-Pardee News

December 11, 2015

Welcome.

Dear LP Families:

Hooray for a wonderful week at Laurelton - Pardee. We kicked off the holiday concert season this week with a dress rehearsal concert during the school day followed by a wonderful performance on Thursday night. Our third and fourth grade chorus knocked it out of the park, under the musical stylings of Mr. Eric Trumpowsky. He commented after the concert on what fun it has been to work with this year's group of singers. This means good things to come in the next couple of years!

I hope you all had a good week and that you are enjoying a mild entry into winter. I keep feeling like we are only days away from a huge snowstorm. Sorry for the pessimism.

We have a full week of school next week followed by a two-day week. There is no school on Wednesday, December 23 until Monday, January 4. Enjoy the break with your friends and families.

Sincerely,

Lucas Hiley

  • In the winter, snow pants are encouraged, but not mandatory.
  • Boots are required to have full access to the playground during the winter.

Staff Spotlight Recap

A parent new to our school offered a great suggestion this week. She asked that I include each person's job with his/her photo so she can know what role each person plays at LP. Great idea! So, instead of introducing someone new this week, I will recap who I have shared so far with their titles. Perhaps you can go back and reference your prior newsletters for their pictures.

Diane Martello - self-contained special education teacher

Pete Crescimanni - physical education teacher

Michael Sereno - fifth grade classroom teacher
