Principal Message
Thank you so much to all our families, scholars, PTA & Community Organizations that supported our staff appreciation surprise and kind gestures this week. We feel the love and as always, you are the BEST support for our school. Here are some pictures of some of the wonderful support that came our way!

Hybrid/Remote Learning Updates and Reminders
ATTESTATIONS: Attestations or Health Screenings are to be done every day for every hybrid scholar or staff member, coming to school or not. We are happy to report that these are being done earlier and earlier by both parents and staff. Many thanks to you all. As a result fewer and fewer calls are having to be made in the morning (the afternoon scholars have more time to complete these and it hasn't been as frantic to get them done.) We do make calls to anyone who has not completed this by 8:00am and 11:00am. Parents: you can add your phone number in the survey if you would like a text message each day.
Bell time schedule reminder:
As we enter our last 8 weeks of this school year, a reminder that all Silver Lake students are now at the same start and end times, these are:
Reminder Bell 8:30 am / 12:35 pm
School Start Bell 8:35 am / 12:40 pm
School End Bell 11:00 am / 3:05 pm

SLV Battle of the Books
Thursday, May 13th from 9:25-10:05am and 1:30-2:10pm
and Friday May 14th from 10:10-10:50am and 2:20-3pm.
From the 3 SLV teams, one will be chosen to represent us at District on Thursday, May 20th!

School Supply Pick-Up
Our next supply pick-up will be Wednesday May 12th, from 9am-3pm. Drive up in front of the gym and let staff know what grades your students are in.
Supply bins are put outside the gym doors until 5pm.

Wednesday: Meal Pick-Ups! Now Expanded to 7-Days Meal Kits
Silver Lake has meal pick-up every Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.
--Families are welcome to pick up meals at any FWPS pick-up location. Please drive thru the pick-up lane in front of the gym.

Calling all scholars in grades 3-12: Nominate a staff member for the Because of You Award!
Students in grades 3-12 are invited to nominate any Federal Way Public Schools staff member in the district they believe has positively impacted them, their school, and/or their community for the “Because of You” award!
Students can fill out a nomination form on the district’s website at www.fwps.org/BecauseOfYou. All nomination forms are due by end of month.
