Roosevelt Information
A few reminders so you can stay in the know:
~ Water Bottles: Now that the weather is warming (sort of, right?!), please make sure your child comes with a water bottle each day. Staying hydrated is really important!
~ ALPS (Active Learner Program in Schools) Course: Now that spring is here, the ALPS course is open! Come and walk some laps with your kiddo! The course is open each Thursday and Friday from 7:35-7:50. This is a great way to begin the day!
~ Construction Project Update: There continues to be some pre-work being done here at Roosevelt before and after students are in the building. When I get to work, I can hear banging and other odd noises, noises which stop once students arrive. Soon more trailers will be coming onto our playground, and towards the end of the school year we will be asking for some volunteers to help with packing up items. Gonna be fun, for sure!!!
~ Upcoming Dates: Our April PLC will be on Tuesday, April 12. Here is the link to sign up for late start child care if you haven't already done so. We also will have our monthly PTO meeting on this same day--5:30-6:30 in the Roosevelt Media Center. Child watch is provided. Also, there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, April 15.
~ Spring Cleaning: As you start putting away winter gear for the season (we can hope, right?!) and have extra winter gear that may not fit your kiddo(s) next season, we would love donations to the health office. We are MOST in need of waterproof gloves/mittens as well as unisex small snow pants. We have an abundance of other winter gear but could use these things. Thanks!
~ Do you have an incoming Kindergartner?? Kindergarten Round Up is just around the corner! Please mark your calendar for Thursday, April 21 from 4:30-7:00. Round Up this year will be an open house type format, so if you have a child that will be coming to Kindergarten in the fall, please plan on popping in during these hours. It's always so exciting to meet future Raccoons!
Have a great day,
Ann
