Picture Day is Coming!
The flyer includes the website and picture ID number you will use to order your child's pictures from Lifetouch. On Thursday, September 1st, we will distribute the picture packets to our students during 8th period to take home. Use that packet to complete your order. There is no need to return the form from that packet if you place your orders online. If you do not use the online system, please fill out that form completely, enclose the exact payment, and have your child return it to the school on picture day. Enclose cash, money order or check payable to Lifetouch. The photographer will not make change.

Safety & Security at Blossom and Heroes Stadiums
NEISD Football Patrons
A new safety measure has been put in place for the 2016-17 school year at Comalander Stadium, Heroes Stadium & Littleton Gymnasium. Metal detectors are being utilized for all pass and ticket holders entering the stadium. We would like to share the following with you in an effort to make the experience enjoyable.
1. No backpacks will be allowed in the stadium. Individuals arriving with backpacks will be asked to place them in the car or check them in at the ticket booth for retrieval after the game.
2. Purses and bags will be searched.
3. No food or drinks are allowed into the stadium.
4. Purchase tickets online at www.neisd.net/athletics/tickets.html to avoid long ticket lines. Cellphone internet service is slow at the stadium; please do not wait to purchase tickets while standing in line.
5. Tickets sales open an hour before the game. Please consider getting your ticket early and then entering later if desired.
6. Gold cards, player passes, NEISD employee passes, etc. must enter through the pass gates located near the ticket booths at each stadium.
Thank you in advance for helping us ensure that a safe, enjoyable experience is possible for all. Be sure to arrive early enough for the long lines at the ticket gates, so that you don't miss the beginning of the game.

Reminders
Buses: The bus drop-off and pick-up location is in the front parking lot of the campus. In the mornings, please do not use the front parking lot between 7:00 am - 8:20 am, and 3:25 pm - 4:00 pm. Afternoon buses will begin parking in the front lot after 3:00 pm. If you are parked in the front parking lot and wish to leave before the buses do, please do not expect the buses to move once they are in position and parked - this is a safety hazard and the buses are too large to be making these kinds of maneuvers once they are in position and ready to load your child. The buses depart campus in the afternoon run at 3:35 pm.
Parent Drop-off & Pick-Up: This area is located in the back of our campus. Please follow our teachers' traffic directions in this area. I know that everyone wants to drop off and pick up their child on the innermost lane, but with more than 150 cars using this area each day, that expectation is not feasible to always achieve. So, please know that the number one goal is safety, and our staff members working this area are doing their best to manage the traffic and students coming and going each school day.
Entering our school: Thanks to our wonderful PTA for helping us initiate this project, we now have a new sliding window outside our main office for patrons to use when entering our school from the front entrance. After 8:30 am and before 3:25 pm, you may use our front entrance to park and enter our building. Check in at the sliding glass door prior to proceeding to your destination. When checking in, we will ask you for a valid driver's license with your photo, or state issued identification card, and will use a raptor system to create a temporary visitor badge for you to wear while on campus. If you have school business to attend before 8:30 am, park in the rear parking lot and enter from there. Proceed to the main office where we will provide you with a visitor badge. Please remember to sign in and sign out each time you visit us.
To feed or not to feed, that is the question: Parents may bring lunch from an outside food source to drop off for their child only. Do not bring food for anyone else, because it is a safety precaution protecting other students who may have a food allergy. We will not provide that food to anyone else other than your own child.
