Mariner Memo
Rose Haggar Elementary School 2015-2016
Rhyming Bingo The 1st graders rotated through each classroom/teacher participating in language arts activities. They played word card Uno, drew a picture and then wrote a story about it, wrote a class letter to their teacher, listened to a read aloud, and practiced spelling by playing Sparkle. | Problem Solving Without much background knowledge on pulleys, this 1st grader created a pulley to lift "water" in a bucket. He learned more about the simple machine by experimenting with different materials and problem solving. | Q-bitz In PACE, 3rd grade students challenged each other to a game of Q-bitz where they must use visual dexterity. A card was displayed and both students had to use cubes to represent the picture. The first student that recreated the image won. |
