UM-Flint/GenNET Special Collaborative ITV Event held with Dr. Josh A. Cassada
Dr. Cassada grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota where he graduated from White Bear High School followed by attendance and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Albion College, in Michigan and then a masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.
As part of the day on April 29th, Dr. Cassada met via distance learning/interactive television with classrooms students at GenNET sites to share his educational journey and professional career at the NASA Space Center as an astronaut and naval aviator.
Participation Details
The itinerary for the event was as follows;
- 12:45 pm Registered GenNET sites report to their ITV rooms with their teacher(s)
- 1:00 pm: Live presentation began with Dr. Cassada
- 2:00 pm: Presentation Concludes
Connections for GenNET ITV sites were established by the Genesee ISD Technology and Media Services for complete interaction with four sites
Participating school sites were:
- Goodrich Oaktree Elementary (26 students)
- Grand Blanc Middle School West (39 students)
- Lakeville Columbiaville Elementary (28 students)
- Flint Brownell STEM Academy (24 students)
