Notes from Mrs. Carder

Happy New Year to you and your family! I know I say this often - BUT how are we half way through the school year? Time sure goes quickly when you are having fun!

The middle of the year achievement data looks great! The students have worked very hard on showing what they know on their assessments and they have grown greatly in their math and reading skills. Overall, we have 60% of our students on or above grade level and by the end of the year our goal is 80%. We are getting there!

Thank you for all the support in helping us keep our students safe. The car line requires all to be vigilant and extra careful. We have 500 kids to get home safely and if all follow the car line rules and pull forward we are done by 3:50 each day. If you chose to walk up to the door - please wait until car pull all the way forward and walk beside your student when crossing for safety. Cars can't see little ones walking.

Teacher and Staff Member of the Month for January

Congratulations to Kirsten Miller on being the teacher of the month. This is her first year teaching at Gray and she is doing amazing things on the kindergarten team and with her students. She goes above and beyond each day!

Also, congratulations to Tracy Greiner on being our amazing staff member of the month. She is a wonderful school counselor and so thankful for the work she does at Gray! So many students benefit from her expertise!
