PH News For PH Family / Summer Edition


I’m delighted to announce the first issue of our PH Times Newsletter bringing you news from our London restaurant, as well as our other Planet Hollywood, Earl of Sandwich and Buca di Beppo restaurants around the world.

There will be interviews with members of our team so you learn a little more about them and if you have any stories you wish to contribute, please let us know. We will be releasing a newsletter around every 4 months.

I’d like to thank you all for your hard work throughout the year and a big thank you to Skaiste for her time and effort in putting this newsletter together and we hope that you will enjoy reading it and learning more about our wonderful company and great brands!

Years Working for PH: 22 Years!!!

Favourite PH Dish: It changes daily as I like every food under the sun … but at present it is the Salt Beef Sandwich.

Most Favourite Movie: Again very difficult …. Changes with my mood … Breakfast at Tiffanys is an all time fav … so is Close Encounters of the Third Kind … Kill Bill is a cracker of a film both Volumes …. loved my teenage years of movies like the Breakfast Club … to many to really make a sensible choice!

Pepsi or Coke?: Neither … not a soft drink kinda gal! …. Half a Fosters / Glass of Pinot Grigio / Glass of Prosecco or a good ole cup of tea or sparkling water!

What would you do if you won the lottery?: Have a fantastically large party somewhere exotic and buy a beautiful house right on the sea!

If you were having a dinner party and could invite three famous people, who would they be? God knows … someone funny …. someone inspiring and someone who will clean up afterwards!

Peter Cording

In May 2014, we saw ‘The return of a Planet Hollywood London Legend, Peter Cording’ who came back to his ‘second home’ in the position of Assistant General Manager.

Fast forward a year and we have ‘The rise of a Planet Hollywood London Legend, Peter Cording’ who as of …. now is General Manager of Planet Hollywood London.

For those who do not know, Pete has worked with the company for over a decade, primarily in the role of Senior Restaurant Manager at Planet Hollywood, but also for 18 months in one of our other operations, the fine dining restaurant ‘Rama’ at 50 St James.

His understanding of the day to day running of our business is second to none and he is a tremendous asset to the team. Pete brings his outstanding operational ability, presence, energy and fantastic people skills to our environment on a daily basis.

I am truly delighted to be able to give Pete this opportunity and know the positive impact that Pete will have with the staff and guests alike.

Please join us in congratulating Pete on this well deserved promotion!

Planet Hollywood Disneyland Paris


It was with great pleasure that as of 18th May 2015, Vitor Carvalho returned to the Planet Hollywood family as Assistant General Manager for Disneyland Paris.

Vitor had worked with the company for over a decade, primarily in the role of Senior Restaurant Manager at Planet Hollywood London, but he also worked as a Restaurant Manager in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, New York, Paris and also helped out for four months in Planet Hollywood Disneyland Paris in 2009 while the new Planet Hollywood in London was being built.

After 3 years working in the UAE setting up two restaurant operations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for Shake Shack as General Manager, we offered Vitor the opportunity to return to Europe and join the Planet Hollywood Disneyland Paris team and we were delighted when he accepted the opportunity and challenge.

Some of you may remember Vitor and will have worked with him before. His operational ability, high energy, presence and people skills bring enormous benefit to the Disneyland Paris restaurant. He is a tremendous asset to our brand and we are delighted to have him back in the team!

A big Good Bye to Douglas Inman, Director of Finance & Administration for both Planet Hollywood and Earl of Sandwich, Disneyland Paris, who is leaving us for pastures new.

Douglas has worked with us at DLP for the past four years and has in that time made a big impact and outstanding contribution to both businesses.

He has a fabulous opportunity in a high level position of COO with a firm in central Paris, which is also far closer to his home and he feels it is an offer he can't refuse.

Please join us in wishing Douglas the best of luck for his future role. He will be sorely missed.

The first Buca di Beppo opened in 1993 in downtown Minneapolis. On July 8, 2015, some 22 years late later, we are proudly opening the doors of Buca di Beppo in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with our partners GGICO Gourmet. The first location will be situated in Yas Mall, home to 2.5 million sq ft of retail and entertainment at the heart of Yas Island! This is the largest Buca in the world with up to 380 guests at one sitting!

Second Buca Abu Dhabi opened its doors on 15th July. This 4,500 sq ft restaurant seats 210 guests and comprises of 4 different rooms!
