Pine Road Grows Great Kids

June 10th, 2021

A MESSAGE FROM MR. COLE

Pine Road Families,

I can hardly believe we have come to the end of the 20-21 School Year! I want to personally thank the entire school community for welcoming me so warmly and allowing me to contribute to this great school’s success!

While it has been a year unlike any other, a year fraught with many troubles, It has also been a year with many successes. Our school community was tested in ways no one could possibly have anticipated and has risen to the occasion every single time!

At our moving up ceremony on Monday evening (what a phenomenal job by our 5th-grade team to organize that!) I shared some valuable lessons to remember as we prepare to return to a much more normal school year for 2021-2022. As a school community, we have developed perseverance, independence, and resiliency to a degree that is unheard of. Out of necessity, our staff, students, and families have responded to ever-changing demands skillfully and gracefully. As we get back to normal, those skills will continue to serve us all well!

We are very much looking forward to kicking off a much more normal 2021-2022 school year in August!

Sincerely,

Scott Cole

Principal

5 Days of In-Person Learning

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our students back to in-person instruction, five days a week, for the 2021-2022 school year! In light of recent communications from Governor Wolf and the major health agencies, we anticipate that the upcoming year will be a return to "normal." With this in mind, the district anticipates the in-school attendance of the majority of its students. Any families with extenuating circumstances should contact their child's Principal by June 30, 2021, in order to address concerns regarding learning location. Please email pthomas@lmtsd.org to schedule a conversation if you have circumstances to discuss.

Virtual District Art Festival

As we conclude our historic school year, we are pleased to present you with a virtual tour of our Lower Moreland students' artistic successes. Art classes K-12 had unusual challenges in the virtual/hybrid/in-person models. But like the great creatives we are, students and teachers embraced those challenges and came up with creative solutions. Expressing ourselves has never been more important than in this year of uncertainty. It was a welcomed outlet for most students, and we are so proud of the work we were able to create on a variety of platforms. Please join us in celebrating our k-12 artist district art show by clicking HERE!

Grade Level Changes

As we look forward to returning our learners back into 5 full days of instruction we have made some exciting grade-level changes! Please note that there may be more adjustments made over the summer months!

  • Mrs. Stroup and Mrs.Kim are joining the 3rd-grade team
  • Mrs. Abramson and Mrs. Kurtz will be joining the 4th-grade team
