A Message From Your Principal - Un mensaje de la Directora Sra. Fine
Dear Glenn Families,
We had a fantastic month of September at Glenn! We spent quite a bit of time administering beginning of the year (baseline) assessments in Reading, Math, and Writing. We use this data to set academic goals PER student and to identify action plans to best support our Astronauts.
These goals support our Campus Improvement Plan in the areas that we identified on our Campus Needs Assessment and have set targeted goals in the three content areas listed above with the following targets:
READING - All Students will make more than one year’s growth and 60% of our students will be Reading ON grade level. (Beginning of Year data indicates: 32% on level.)
MATH - 70% of our students will master 70% of the Math Standards. (Beginning of Year data indicates: 34% on level.)
WRITING - 80% of our students will be proficient Writers. (Beginning of Year data indicates: 61% proficient.)
We need YOUR help to achieve our GOALS! We are asking that students attend school and arrive to school on time on a daily basis. When students are absent they are missing out on High Quality Tier I Instruction, Interventions, and Enrichment opportunities. We understand that students become ill and illness may prevent them from attending school. Please send your child to school unless they are ill. If there is another reason outside of illness for your child's absence please reach out to their teacher, our counselors, or administration. We are here to help and support you in any way we can.
Please be sure to check out the infographics below that show the correlation of attendance to academic success. I can assure you that we will do all we can to support your child's academic progress every single day - attendance matters and your child's future is our WHY!

CEP: Community Eligibility Provision - Free / Reduced Lunch Information
Children attending Glenn will receive meals at no cost; however, parents / guardians will need to complete a CEP form that will help determine additional funding for state and federal programs and services that may be provided at our school.
What this means is that funds are allocated to our school based on this information. We utilze these funds for extra support staff such as Reading and Math Specialists as well as materials and supplies for our students.
It is critical that ALL parents / guardians complete a CEP Form for EACH Student at Glenn. We will begin to contact families to ensure this application has been completed by 10/21/2022.
Please contact the front office should you have any questions.
