When tragic events occur, parents can help children deal with anxiety by establishing a sense of security through routine and reassurances that they are safe. Schools are among the safest public buildings and our teachers, administrators and staff work diligently to protect students. If a student is in need of emotional support encourage them to seek out the counselor, a teacher or any office staff.

Message from our Curriculum Director
In April 2021, Little Axe Public Schools will once again give the College and Career Readiness Assessment (CCRA) to all of our 11th Graders at Little Axe High School. The ACT fulfills our federal requirement for Language Arts and Mathematics assessment. We have been scheduled to give the ACT for the last three years as our assessment but was unable to this last spring. This assessment is required to be taken by all of the 11th Graders and was provided free of charge. Since the majority of our students attend in-state colleges and universities, we believe this assessment is a great fit for our students and their college/university choices. Right now, we are considering utilizing the ACT assessment as the CCRA in April.
Please comment on this post below with any input you have regarding the decision.
If you have any questions, or concerns please feel free to contact
Emily Blakley, District Test Coordinator (emily.blakley@littleaxeps.org or 405-329-1612 ext 9923)
We look forward to hearing any feedback as we decide on the 2021 College and Career Readiness Assessment that is required for all 11th Graders.

Yearbook
YEARBOOK ALERT:
IT’S LOVED FOREVER
The hand-written notes from classmates. Actual PRINTED photos. The chance to look back at outdated hairstyles. All this and more is why there's nothing like a yearbook.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Even during these unusual times, the Little Axe High School yearbook team is working hard to create a yearbook that is one-of-a-kind and reflects the unique moments that students are experiencing this year.
