iReady, The More You Know

This week begins Fort Miller's iReady Diagnostic # 2 assessment window. During this window, your student will be completing the second iReady Diagnostic of the academic year. The intent of the i-Ready Diagnostic is to help identify the specific skills each student needs to develop, identify each student’s areas of strength, and measure academic growth through the school year. The Diagnostic provides comprehensive insight into student learning across multiple domains including mathematics.

For the past two years, due to the Pandemic, the State of California has not administered the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC) summative assessment. Fresno Unified has continued to utilize the iReady diagnostic data routinely to monitor student academic achievement. In short, the iReady Diagnostics are a crucial piece of value informational data we use to support your students' academic career.

The purpose of the i-Ready Diagnostic is not to give your student a grade, but instead to determine how best to support their learning. It will help your student’s teacher(s) determine their needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the year.

Below is a quick video that provides information on Understanding the iReady Diagnostic

Family Support

What should Family Support look like in our school? What role do I play in supporting the family engagement program at my school? These are just two of several questions that will be answered in the video Understanding the iReady Diagnostic. We have also included some informational documents in English, Spanish, and Hmong. See the attachments below.
