What a month (a little over) that it has been since our last newsletter! We've been in-person, virtual, on holiday break, and now we are approaching another holiday break! The one constant that has been present the entire time is our amazing staff, students, families, and community partners that we continue to collaborate with. Our virtual time together was a great reminder for me of how much I love seeing students and teachers every day in-person. It is very difficult to replicate an in-person experience but I am proud of our students and staff for their flexibility and inspiring response to a tough situation. I am incredibly grateful for the experiences and joy that the Lisbon Community has brought to my family and I in 2020 and I look forward to much more in 2021! I wish you all a great holiday season and new year!

Mrs. Robertson's 3rd grade class worked together to earn 15 red tickets by following PBIS expectations. Their "red ticket party" was a classroom camp out, complete with stories by the "fire", smores, and tents. Students wore pajamas, shined flashlights and glowed in the black light!

You should've received an email regarding our home virtual learning option, Edmentum. In the email, there is a survey to fill out if you plan on being a home virtual learner for the second semester. If you wish to stay/be in-person, simply do not fill out the survey. If you wish to sign-up, the deadline is December 22nd!

Band members will receive two tickets for in-person performance following all mask and social distancing expectations within the Lisbon School District.

47 fifth graders turned in their flag essays for the national Legion "What the Flag Means to Me" writing contest. Students were required to use less than 350 words, it had to include all proper parts of an essay. The local American Legion will vote on a winner.

In addition, both fifth-grade classes loved doing online learning and had superb attendance each day.

Beautiful Christmas cards were donated to the school and young writers were invited to write on the cards to send Merry Christmas greetings. The cards will be collected and distributed to local care centers, rehabilitation facilities and elderly residents in Lisbon & Mount Vernon.
