Poverty
By Emily Weaver
How is Poverty a Social Injustice?
Poverty is where people can't afford the things they need to live and to be healthy. How is poverty a socila justice issue? Poverty is a social justice issue because it is society is in control over the people in poverty.
How long has Poverty been around?
Poverty has been around for as long as human life has. As time has progressed poverty has become incresingly worse.
Current Issues
People living in the streets, people who can't afford a doctor, people living out of their cars are all examples of poverty.
Taking Action
Multiple laws have been passed including family law, global poverty law, goverments benefits law, homeless law, housing law, legal assisitance to the poor and Social Security law. All these laws are being used to eliminate poverty.
What will poverty look like in the future?
We NEED to make it our goal to stop poverty.
Poverty will continue to increase unless we make it our goal to end it. As the years go on, un-employment rates will rise, and prices for everyday things we need to surviv will continue to rise as well. There are multiple steps we could take to end poverty and make this a non-social injustice issue.
