23-24 Registration and Residency Verification

All returning students must complete the 23-24 CCSD Online Registration. Directions for completing registration for returning students can be found here. Registration will need to be completed at your student's homeschool and the information will be shared with Early College. Please have all registration and residency verification complete prior to Aug. 2nd (10th - 11th Fact and Fee)

23-24 ECHS Academic Calendar (Approved)

The CCSD Board of Trustees approved the 23-24 ECHS Academic Calendar. Please note that ECHS to start the 23-24 school year on Aug. 17th.
23-24 ECHS Summer Writing Assignments

All incoming and returning students are required to complete a summer writing assignment. Summer writing assignments will be graded and comprise part of students' Q1 grades.

End of Year Awards

EOY Awards are being finalized. Student recipients will receive an invitation by May 30th. The award ceremony will take place in room 152. Only recipients will attend.

Principal's Honor Roll and perfect attendance students will be treated to pizza on 6/2. Attendees will receive a ticket to attend during am HR on 6/2.

Yearbooks are Here!

Yearbooks are here! Those who pre-purchased a yearbook can pick up their copy from room 222 during the week of May 30


Still need to buy a yearbook? Supplies are limited and sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bring $55 (cash only) to room 222 during the week of May 30 to get your copy.

Summer Meal Program

CCSD's Seamless Summer Meal Program runs June 12th - August 4th. Students 18 years of age or younger are eligible to receive free summer meals.

Congratulations Senior Dorm Package Winners!

Thanks to one of our amazing partners, College Sage, three seniors will be receiving a college dorm package of $500 each. College Sage has been a wonderful partner throughout many years, providing ECHS students with individual college counseling opportunities. To find out more about what College Sage offers, please see their website.


The selected seniors receiving the dorm package will be notified at graduation practice.

TTC Grocery Vault

The TTC Grocery Vault is a food pantry serving the Trident Tech college community. Food is available to current students, faculty, and staff in need of assistance. ECHS families can find more information about the TTC Grocery Vault - here.

Friday Gap Time Attendance

Parents and Students,


ECHS students are required to attend school each Friday. Students are only permitted to miss school due to excused absences or previously approved late in or early outs. Students missing ECHS classes on Fridays may be denied credit (5 unexcused absences per semester), or be required to make up seat time to receive credit. In addition, Gap Time provides ECHS staff the opportunity to offer additional support and extracurricular opportunities toward students' college and career readiness.

ECHS Clean Laundry Initiative

The goal of the clean laundry initiative is to ensure that all students at ECHS have clean clothes to wear. The service learning group will wash one backpack full of outwear (no socks, underwear or other undergarments). All students who participate will remain anonymous. ECHS Student Parking Application

If students obtained their driver's license during the winter break and plan on driving to school they should fill out the ECHS Parking Application Form. Students must submit a copy of their driver's license, car registration and insurance card in order to pick up their parking tag. They can email pictures of these documents to dawna_riggins@charleston.k12.sc.us, present copies or bring their original documents and copies will be made in office 214C.

ECHS AVID Community Service Hours

An integral part of the ECHS mission is to better our community. With this in mind, all ECHS students are required to complete 10 hours of community service hours each year. These hours will be logged using the Student Action Plans and given a major assignment grade in AVID. Community service logs must be submitted by May 4, 2023.

Students should indicate in their Naviance account (accessible via Clever) when they submit college applications; Naviance is also the platform students use to request transcripts as well. This process will be discussed in AVID and school counselors will be available to assist students throughout this process.
