Personal Safety
As part of the BPS's comprehensive guidance program we will be providing personal safety training to all classrooms in Apri. An educator from The Victim Center out of Springfield will be talking to students about their Personal Safety. The educator coming to BPS has been traveling throughout Southwest Missouri schools since 1998 working with students from kindergarten through college age. The personal safety information will include; that is is never ok to keep bad secrets, who to talk to if they ever feel uncomfortable or scared, not getting into someones car without parent permission, and that their bodies belong to them. All students will be provided with a list of safety rules from the Victims Center for parents to be able to continue the discussion with their children on how to be aware and stay safe.
Have a Safe and Happy Summer!!!
