We are super excited about our upcoming May Culture Fest. Please consider joining in for this. We have such a wonderful community with so many cultures to showcase. We cannot do it without your help. Please consider contributing to the event! Check out the details below.

Culture Fest Coming!

We are happy to announce that we will have our first annual Culture Fest on May 12 from 6-8 pm at Cypress Grove. We cannot put this fest on without the help of our families. We want to showcase all cultures that come together to create the amazing environment at CG. We would love to have every one of our cultures showcased at our festival. We encourage you to become a part of the festival in one way or another.

We are also looking for business participation. If you own a business, especially involving food, we encourage you to become a part of the festival in one way or another to showcase your business. We will advertise your business on our marquee as well as give you your own table to set up at the event. What a wonderful way for you to not only give back to the school community but also let everyone know who you are! 6th Grade Student Field Trip

6th grade students will attend the OPAS play, The Lightning Thief, on the Texas A&M campus on March 22. Due to this field trip, students' normal lunch times could change to accommodate the time away from school to attend the play. See below for details.

Please talk to your students about following expectations and showcasing positive actions while attending the play.

The States of Texas requires the following immunizations for all students entering 7th grade:

· One dose of Meningococcal vaccine

· One booster of the Tdap vaccine

All district middle schools must have proof of required 7th grade immunizations in order for students to pick up their schedules or begin school in August. You are receiving this letter now in order to provide you with ample time to have your child immunized and provide proof of immunizations to your child’s school nurse. If your child has already received these immunizations, please provide a copy of their shot record to the school nurse at their current school.
