how languages became revitalized
By Richard Hou and Dominik Ruzicka
The language had been spoken for many years starting in 10th century BC till the 2nd century AD when the spoken usage of the language ended. The revival of the language took place when Eliezer Ben-Yehuda brought up the topic of revitalizing the language in the late 18th and early 19th century.
Latin had been spoken since 75 BC. The use of the language had diffused through hierarchical diffusion and relocation diffusion as the roman empire had expanded as with it the use of Latin. The language disappeared in the 9th century but it has recently been revived in the 15th century because of the Christian religion.
