Rockwall High School Jacket Notes

Jacket Nation
Happy Mother's Day,
Thank you moms for all that you do for us in Jacket Nation. Believe me, I am very appreciative of the moms in my life. They pretty much do everything and are literally like "Wonder Women."
Did you know we have another State Champion at Rockwall High School? Our newest Champion is Claire Lowrey, who won the State Championship in the High Jump. I don't know if you have noticed, but we have some of the hardest working students who not only "expect excellence," but also achieve it.
Busy week this week with several Senior activities and playoff baseball. Tuesday, we have Senior Commitment, Awards, and Scholarship Ceremony. This is a fun event where we get to celebrate all the accomplishments of our Seniors, pep rally style, at the stadium. Our annual Powder Puff game is Wednesday between our Juniors and Seniors. Saturday is Prom and After Prom which is one of the last dances seniors will ever go to.
Nostalgic moment seeing how far our Seniors have come in the last four years. In just two short weeks Seniors will be walking the stage at graduation. The month of May is my busiest time, but my favorite time as a principal. It is bitter sweet seeing these young men and women putting together their next steps for after high school.
Underclassmen, the year is quickly coming to an end, make sure we are finishing strong and taking care of our grades. We don't want a lapse in responsibility to cause anyone to have to retake a second semester course they should have gotten credit for.
Finish Strong Jacket Nation!

Student Log-In Information & Student Dashboard
In Rockwall, we have set up a dashboard for students that provides quick and simple access to all of our instructional programs, including Seesaw and Canvas. Once students log into their Rockwall ISD account, they can access the dashboard and click any of the icons to open that program. This document walks students through logging in with their Rockwall ISD account and shows them how to access their Rockwall ISD Student Dashboard.
Parent Skyward Notification Setting
All students get a Verification of Enrollment form unless:
1. That student failed one or more classes in the second semester AND
2. Any failure is directly attributable to a violation of the 90% attendance law (5 absences for periods 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 absences for periods 1 and 8) for that failed course.
