The Pizitz Post
For Students, Parents & Families - April 11, 2022
Service
We have many ways for students to serve at Pizitz- through organizations like Ambassadors and SGA. We also have school-wide opportunities such as our annual canned food drive for a local organization. Next year, we look forward to growing our collective service-learning opportunities. We have added an elective through our Discovery 7 class (a rotating elective similar to Unified Arts in 6th grade) that will focus on servant leadership. Our hope is that our 7th grade students can lead and support school-wide initiatives that will have the greatest impact on our community.
At Pizitz, we define service as lending a hand to help someone else. Whether it is organized or spontaneous, we can all grow in our efforts to help someone in need.
Theatre & Dance at Pizitz Thank you to those of you who responded about theatre and dance opportunities for next year. We have received a grant which will allow for our students to participate in more theatre and dance opportunities. Based on the feedback and interest, we will have opportunities for students during 8th period and after school next year for students in grades 6-8. We look forward to building this program at Pizitz next year. Thank you for expressing student interest. | Congrats to our Tennis Teams Congrats to the Pizitz girls' tennis team for winning the Metro championship! Our boys were amazing as well and finished runner up. Individual Metro champions at their seed: Andrew Pipkin, Austin Hood, Ryleigh Martin, Grace Ding, Kitty Watts, Emily Jin, and Addison Peters! Runners up at their seed: GW Wright, Akash Parek, JB Harris, Helen Bishop, and Boys Doubles-Rip Griffin and Fowler Jackson, and Girls doubles-Sage Word and Georgia Thompson.
