Quick Reminders

  • Symphony permission forms are due by January 29th.
  • Report Cards went home last week. If your child hasn't returned their signed report card envelope, please send it back in.

Meet the Instrument Night

Come to Clark Middle School and try out any of the band instruments on January 24th 4:40-8:00PM or January 26 2:00-6:00PM. This is a free event for 5th grade students and there is no obligation to sign up for band at this time. It usually takes 10-15 minutes per instrument. This is an event you won't want to miss!

Cold Weather and Recess

When bundling your child up for school each morning, please keep the following recess guidelines in mind:

  • We will go out for recess if the temperature/wind chill is ABOVE 37 degrees.
  • If the temperature/wind chill is BETWEEN 32 and 37 degrees, we will go outside for half of recess.
  • We will have indoor recess if the temperature/wind chill is BELOW 32 degrees.
  • Teachers check the temperature/wind chill shortly before recess time (10:00 am).

Symphony Field Trip

Smith Elementary Fifth Graders will attend the Plano Symphony concert on Feb 19, 2019. See the document below for more information. Signed permission forms are due January 29, 2019
