Moreau Messenger
December 2016
Note From Principal Delair!
Winter is upon us and we couldn't be happier preparing for the Holidays and enjoying the season of giving! I would like to take this moment to thank you for the support you give us day in and day out and allowing us to care for your children. I am amazed at the kind things our students continue to do. From cards to those in need, food pantry supplies, dog shelter needs, decorations for our school and helping out our fellow community members, our kids really do care like no other!
As I enter my one year as being your principal, I have to say I still get that same feeling when I enter these doors. This is a safe, loving, happy place to be. My own kids are very jealous of the things we do together here at Moreau!
Please take time over the next couple of weeks to enjoy your families and everything we all have to be thankful for.
With Love,
Laura
Ms. Kim Dineen
Moreau School would like to say thanks to Kim Dineen for her service to our children and wish her a
happy retirement.

Kindergarten!
The kindergarten students are so excited for the snow and truly enjoyed playing in the Winter Wonderland it created! We are very busy reading and writing in class. The children are learning the true spirit of the holiday and how it is about giving rather than receiving. We will be creating our very own gingerbread houses on Friday the 23rd. Our homeroom parents will be contacting you to get some gingerbread supplies and ask for some helpers. Please be sure to continue to read and review all of the sight words over the break. Enjoy your family and little ones during this special holiday season! We look forward to seeing your children excel in the New Year!

Notes from Mr. Armenio and Ms. Bresnahan
Our second graders have been working very hard. They have been reading, reading, reading and attacking difficult words like pros! They finished their narratives and they will be moving on to opinion writing. In math, they have been learning to compose and decompose numbers up to 1,000.
Only a few short weeks until Christmas break. This year is going so fast already! We are all looking forward to making our gingerbread houses on December 22nd from 1:30-2:30. More information will be coming home soon. We will need lots of extra hands so if you are available that day we would love to have you!
As the cold weather begins to creep in, please remember to send your child to school with a coat, hat, and gloves. We will still be going outside on a regular basis and want everyone to stay toasty warm!
Thanks, as always, for your continued support! We hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
