Spring Break, March 2019
Take time to reflect and relax!
A Message from the Superintendent
This week we celebrate the official start of Spring and a much needed and hopefully restful spring break for our students, staff and families.
I would like to take this moment to show my appreciation to our Estes Park School District Community. Every one of you, from parents to students, staff to community members; make a tremendous difference with what you do everyday to create a successful environment for the youth of tomorrow. I am extremely proud to be a part of this district and this community, and I know that our students are loved and supported.
I have a vested interest in Estes Park School District’s success as Superintendent of Schools, and also as a father of a recent EPHS graduate. My youngest of four (yes, four) daughters graduated from Estes Park High School in 2017. Helping our students become their best selves as citizens and global learners is one of the many reasons why my colleagues and I became educators.
Our District has many points of pride - collaborations with local organizations and resources, engaging programs and diverse extracurricular offerings, inclusive programs and services, an intense focus on social-emotional learning and growth, and academic rigor. Our students are exposed everyday to global outcomes and learning experiences that improve cognitive skills, including critical thinking and problem solving, collaboration and creativity, compassion and global awareness, perseverance, and respect.
For the future of the 1,140 students who call Estes Park School District home, I will continue to work diligently to help all students learn, grow, prosper, and develop. It is an enormous responsibility for all of us who work at this district, but more importantly it is a great privilege. We share and celebrate in every triumph, and we embrace every failure as a way to grow and learn.
Please take this time off to rest, relax and enjoy time with your family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone return on April 2nd rejuvenated and refreshed.
Warmly,
Sheldon Rosenkrance, Superintendent of Schools
